A curfew has been initiated in the Ambad tehsil of Jalna, Maharashtra, amidst the ongoing agitation led by Jarange for Maratha reservation.

There is a possibility that people may come to Antarwali Sarati village in Jalna, where the activist has been staging a hunger strike, to stop him (from going to Mumbai).

A curfew has been enforced in Ambad taluka of Jalna district, Maharashtra, due to concerns over the law and order situation amid ongoing protests for Maratha reservation led by activist Manoj Jarange. The district administration, led by Jalna collector Srikrushna Panchal, issued the order in response to Jarange's announcement of plans to protest in Mumbai. There's a fear that supporters may gather at Sarati village in Jalna, where Jarange has been on a hunger strike, potentially disrupting traffic on the Dhule-Mumbai highway and surrounding areas. The curfew, effective from midnight on Monday until further notice, exempts essential services such as government offices, schools, national highways, milk distribution, media, and hospitals. Despite briefly leaving for Bhamberi village, Jarange returned to Antarwali Sarati on Monday morning for medical treatment.
