Amid ongoing seat-sharing discussions within the BJP in Maharashtra, Nitin Gadkari dismisses Uddhav Thackeray's invitation, labeling it as

Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari rejected Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray's invitation to join his party and termed it as "immature and ridiculous", while speaking at a rally in Maharashtra's Yavatmal district on Tuesday, March 12.

Uddhav Thackeray, in a recent development, reiterated his invitation to Nitin Gadkari, urging him to consider joining the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) if he felt marginalized within the BJP. Thackeray assured Gadkari of support and hinted at a significant ministerial role in the MVA government, contrasting Gadkari's absence from the BJP's initial candidate list with the inclusion of other figures once targeted by the BJP.

Nitin Gadkari promptly dismissed Thackeray's proposal, citing the BJP's established process for candidate selection and describing Thackeray's suggestion as “immature and ridiculous.”

The political landscape in Maharashtra is witnessing these exchanges between the ruling BJP and the opposition MVA, comprising NCP, Shiv Sena, and Congress. Gadkari clarified that Thackeray's offer preceded the BJP's discussions on ticket distribution for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Additionally, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ridiculed Thackeray's offer, likening it to an unrealistic proposition akin to offering the US president's position, emphasizing Gadkari's stature within the BJP and the ongoing seat-sharing negotiations between the BJP and its allies.
