As of 9 am, voter turnout across the 93 constituencies in 11 states for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 3 stands at 10.57%.

Today marks the third phase of the Lok Sabha Election 2024, with 93 constituencies across 11 states and Union Territories conducting polls. A total of 1,331 candidates are contesting, making this a significant juncture in the election process.

Early this morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cast his vote in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, encouraging high voter turnout for a vibrant election process. This phase will decide the fate of over 283 Lok Sabha seats, completing more than half of the total 543 seats.

Voting commenced at 7 am and will conclude at 6 pm, covering Gujarat, Goa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh. Notable candidates include Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Dimple Yadav, Supriya Sule, and others.

In the 2019 elections, the BJP and its allies secured 75 out of the 93 seats in this phase. This phase has 17.24 crore eligible voters, with stringent COVID-19 protocols in place across 1.85 lakh polling stations.

The previous phases were on April 19 and 26, with the remaining phases scheduled for May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1, culminating in the counting of votes on June 4. The BJP-led NDA aims for 400 seats, facing opposition from the Congress-led INDIA bloc across the seven-phase election.
