Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's Address and Assurances in Madhya Pradesh's 16th Assembly Inaugural Session

On the final day of the inaugural session of Madhya Pradesh’s 16th Assembly, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav compared the BJP's manifesto to revered texts like the Ramayan and Gita. He assured the continuation of all welfare schemes initiated by the previous government, addressing concerns raised by Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar about the Ladli Behna Yojana.

Yadav pledged the continuity of various schemes, including Ladli Laxmi, and affirmed that funds would be disbursed to beneficiaries as scheduled. Emphasizing the significance of the party's manifesto, he likened it to the Gita and Ramayan, asserting its complete fulfillment. Referring to historical instances, he mentioned King Vikramaditya of Ujjain building a Ram Temple in Ayodhya 2000 years ago and announced facilitation of visits to Ayodhya for the Ram Temple inauguration on January 22.

Yadav addressed the Congress party's alleged hindrance to the Ram Temple construction and expressed plans to convert places associated with Lord Krishna in the state into pilgrimage centers. However, Leader of Opposition Singhar urged Yadav to focus on the Opposition's concerns rather than giving religious sermons.

During the discourse, Yadav highlighted India's historical contribution to setting the world's standard time in Ujjain some 300 years ago. He mentioned an instrument still available in Ujjain for this purpose, contrasting it with the current practice based on Greenwich Mean Time. When a Congress MLA suggested adopting an "Indian standard" time in the state, Yadav dismissed it, stating it reflected a mentality that hindered progress.

Yadav concluded by expressing his government's commitment to restoring India's lost glory and Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar adjourned the House sine die after completing the day's agenda.
