Following her son Varun's denial of the Pilibhit ticket, Maneka Gandhi expressed contentment in being a part of the BJP.

Following the denial of a ticket to BJP MP Varun Gandhi from his constituency Pilibhit, his mother and fellow BJP MP Maneka Gandhi expressed her happiness at being a part of the party during her 10-day visit to Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. She thanked Amit Shah, PM Modi, and Nadda Ji for granting her the ticket, despite the delayed announcement causing initial uncertainty about where she would contest, either from Pilibhit or Sultanpur. Maneka Gandhi also expressed her satisfaction at returning to Sultanpur, citing its historical significance and the warm welcome she received from party leaders and workers during her visit to various locations within the Lok Sabha constituency. Additionally, she paid tribute to the statues of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Notably, this visit marked her first appearance in Sultanpur after being named as the candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
