In the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, Shiv Sena has chosen former mayor Naresh Mhaske as its candidate for the Thane Lok Sabha seat.

The Shiv Sena, under the leadership of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, has named Naresh Mhaske as its candidate for the Thane Lok Sabha seat, challenging incumbent MP Rajan Vichare from Shiv Sena (UBT). Additionally, Shrikant Shinde, CM Shinde's son and current representative of the Kalyan Lok Sabha seat, has been nominated as the party's candidate for that constituency.

Thane, known as CM Shinde's stronghold, is where he represents the Kopri-Pachpakhadi assembly constituency. The recent announcements reflect the Shiv Sena's strategic positioning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Candidates for the Nashik and Palghar Lok Sabha seats are yet to be finalized by the party.
