Jarange-Patil Accuses Government of False Cases Against Maratha Protesters and Demands Inclusive Reservation: Updates on Recent Incidents and Negotiations

Jarange-Patil accused the government of lodging unfounded cases against Maratha protesters, asserting that the government's failure to fulfill its promise of withdrawing these cases has generated a sense of mistrust within the community.

Jarange-Patil discussed the incident in Antarwali-Saraati, Jalna, where police lathicharged villagers at his fasting site, resulting in over 100 villagers and 70 police personnel being injured due to alleged stone-pelting. After a meeting with a state government delegation, including Mangesh Chivate and Independent MLA Bachchu Kadu, Jarange-Patil insisted on the inclusion of four specific words for Maratha community reservation. He rejected the government's suggestions, emphasizing that they want reservation without extensive discussions. Despite this, he clarified that discussions would continue, focusing on their unwavering commitment to securing reservation. Bachchu Kadu, acting as a mediator, highlighted Jarange-Patil's acknowledgment that a woman's caste shouldn't be applied to her children, indicating ongoing discussions on Maratha reservation.
