Maharashtra CM's office debunks forged letters; lodges complaint over counterfeit signatures and stamps.

The Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's office has lodged a complaint with Marine Drive police station regarding alleged misuse of Shinde's signatures and stamps on various documents.

"The CM's secretariat routinely receives letters bearing the Chief Minister's signatures and comments. These documents are digitally recorded and forwarded to relevant departments. Recently, discrepancies were noted in 10-12 letters where signatures and stamps appeared fake. This was promptly reported to senior officials, prompting the CM to take serious action," stated a release from the Chief Minister's office.

Acting on this, the CM's office has filed a complaint with the Marine Drive police station.

"We've instructed CMO officials to exercise caution and vigilance. The police will investigate to identify the perpetrators," remarked a CMO official.
