Maratha Quota Activist Warns of Protests if Maharashtra Government Fails to Enact Reservation Law by December 24

Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange reiterated on Tuesday that the Maharashtra government must enact the reservation law by December 24, as waiting until February is not acceptable. In response to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's announcement of a possible special session for quota approval after a month, Jarange insisted that protests would be initiated if the reservation is not granted before the given deadline. Speaking in Antarwali Sarathi village, the epicenter of the quota agitation in Jalna district, Jarange stated that the protest details would be revealed during a meeting in Beed on December 23. He emphasized the need for the state government to clarify its stance on enacting the quota law and promptly issue Kunbi (OBC) certificates to all Marathas, based on the 1967 records.
