PM Modi Celebrates Veer Bal Diwas, Emphasizes Sikh Guru's Teachings and India's Future Potential

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a "Veer Bal Diwas" event commemorating the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh's sons, emphasized the teachings of Sikh gurus in inspiring Indians to serve the country. He stated that India is emerging from a "mindset of slavery" and expressed faith in the people, their abilities, and heritage. Modi asserted that the next 25 years present significant opportunities for the youth, with the government having a clear roadmap to fulfill their dreams.

 

The Prime Minister highlighted the global recognition of the sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh's sons, Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh. He noted that their sacrifices are acknowledged not only in India but also internationally, including in the US, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the UAE, and Greece. Modi stated that the celebration of "Veer Bal Diwas" symbolizes a never-say-die attitude for the protection of Indian identity.

 

Modi emphasized the importance of bravery, irrespective of age, and described the event as a celebration of the heritage of Sikh Gurus. He expressed happiness about India shedding the mentality of slavery and gaining confidence in its capabilities. The Prime Minister stressed India's role in addressing global challenges in economy, science, research, sports, and diplomacy, declaring that the next 25 years will showcase India's capabilities.

 

Modi urged youth to prioritize their health, follow a good diet, undergo digital detoxification, and avoid narcotics. He called for collective efforts from religious leaders, the government, and families to launch a campaign against drugs, emphasizing the need to build a strong and capable youth for a developed India.

 

To mark Veer Bal Diwas, the government is organizing participatory programs nationwide, including informing young children about the exemplary courage of the "Sahibzadas," with a film screening planned across the country.
