PM Modi's Multistate Tour: Inaugurating Projects and Unveiling Boeing's Largest Investment Outside the U.S.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to embark on a visit to Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu today to unveil a series of projects. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) officially announced his itinerary, beginning with the inauguration of a Boeing facility in Karnataka. Subsequently, PM Modi will visit Maharashtra, commencing the day by inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for diverse development projects in Solapur around 10:45 am. In the afternoon, he will arrive in Bengaluru, Karnataka, at approximately 2:45 pm to inaugurate the Boeing India Engineering and Technology Centre and the Boeing Sukanya Programme. Later in the day, around 6 pm, PM Modi is expected to be in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, attending the grand opening ceremony of the Khelo India Youth Games.

Notably, the newly constructed 43-acre Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center (BIETC) campus in Bengaluru, representing Boeing's largest investment outside the United States, will be launched by PM Modi. Additionally, he will inaugurate the Boeing Sukanya Programme, aimed at encouraging the participation of young girls nationwide in the aviation sector. This program focuses on providing knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to girls and women, along with opportunities and training for aviation industry jobs. The initiative also seeks to establish 150 STEM labs for female youth across the country, offering scholarships for those interested in pilot training. The Bengaluru campus was built with a substantial investment of ₹1,600 crore.
