On Saturday, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expanded his cabinet in Rajasthan, with the swearing-in ceremony taking place at the Raj Bhavan in Jaipur. The newly inducted ministers include 12 cabinet-rank ministers, five Ministers of State (MoS) with independent charge, and five ministers of state.

The expansion followed a meeting between Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and the governor, seeking permission for the ceremony. Rajyavardhan Rathore, after taking the oath, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, JP Nadda, Amit Shah, and CM Bhajanlal Sharma, pledging dedicated service to the people of Rajasthan. Other ministers also highlighted their commitment to addressing issues such as corruption, paper leaks, and women's safety.
The BJP secured 115 seats in the 2023 Rajasthan Assembly Election, with the Congress trailing at 69 seats out of the 200 assembly seats. The majority mark in the state is 100.
