Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde encounters resistance from its own party members regarding candidate nominations.

Shiv Sena, under the leadership of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, is considering replacing its candidate in the Hingoli Lok Sabha seat due to opposition within the 'Mahayuti' alliance, which includes the BJP and NCP led by Ajit Pawar. The current MP from Hingoli, Hemant Patil, was announced as Shiv Sena's candidate but is now likely to be replaced by Baburao Kadam Kohalikar before the nomination deadline on Thursday for the second phase of Lok Sabha polls on April 26.

Kadam, acknowledging the shift, mentioned that CM Shinde had hinted at the change four days ago, prompting him to prepare for the election. Patil, upon learning about the decision, expressed support for Kadam and stated he would campaign alongside him. Patil himself admitted that the announcement of his candidature should not have been made initially and pledged to work diligently for the party's chosen candidate.

Santosh Bangar, a Shiv Sena MLA, affirmed his loyalty to the party's decision despite previously supporting Patil. He vowed to ensure victory for the selected candidate, showing unity within the party despite differing opinions.

There are also reports of opposition to sitting MP Bhavana Gawali's candidacy in the Yavatmal-Washim Lok Sabha seat, which she has held since 1999. However, Gawali remains resolute in contesting the election, supported by a strong network of party workers.

Regarding speculations about Hemant Patil's wife being fielded in Yavatmal-Washim, Patil stated he was unaware and would discuss it with his family. Shiv Sena spokesperson Naresh Mhaske emphasized the party's priority of winning seats over internal disagreements, highlighting their strategic approach in decision-making.
