Sreesanth criticizes Gautam Gambhir for alleged disputes with colleagues and lack of respect for seniors following an incident at Legends League Cricket

Sreesanth, a former member of India's T20 and ODI World Cup-winning teams, expressed displeasure with ex-teammate Gautam Gambhir after a Legends League Cricket (LLC) match in Surat. A video of a stare-off between Sreesanth and Gambhir during the game went viral. Gambhir scored 51 off 30 balls for India Capitals, who posted 223/7. Sreesanth, playing for Gujarat Giants, took 1/35 in three overs. Despite Gambhir's performance, Gujarat Giants fell short, managing 211/7 in 20 overs and losing by 12 runs.

After the match, Sreesanth took to Instagram to address the incident with Gautam Gambhir, expressing his desire to clarify the situation. He accused Gambhir of consistently engaging in conflicts with colleagues, even lacking respect for senior players like Virender Sehwag. According to Sreesanth, Gambhir had verbally attacked him without provocation, using inappropriate and disrespectful language.

In the video posted on his Instagram page, Sreesanth emphasized that he was not at fault and felt the need to set the record straight. He hinted at making public the words Gambhir used against him, highlighting the unacceptability of such behavior on a cricket field. Sreesanth mentioned the challenges his family and state had faced, and how he had fought those battles with public support. He asserted that Gambhir's actions were unwarranted, and he promised to reveal the details of the incident soon.

"Why bother being a representative for people if you can't show respect to your fellow colleagues? Even in broadcasting, when questioned about Virat, he avoids talking about him directly, discussing something unrelated. I won't delve into specifics. I just want to express that I am deeply hurt, and the same goes for my family and close ones. The way he chose his words… I haven't uttered a single offensive word or any form of abuse – nothing. He persisted in using words, as he often does," Sreesanth remarked.
