The ICC has declared that reserve days will be included for the semifinals and final of the T20 World Cup 2024.

The ICC has made a significant announcement ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, revealing plans for reserve days during the crucial stages of the tournament. Scheduled to take place in the West Indies and the USA, this year's T20 World Cup is set to commence on June 1, with an inaugural match between USA and Canada. The final showdown is earmarked for June 29 in Barbados, an island nestled in the eastern Caribbean.

The semi-final clashes are slated for June 26 and 27. To ensure contingencies for unpredictable weather or unforeseen circumstances, the ICC has included reserve days, specifying June 27 for the first semi-final and June 28 for the second. While details regarding a reserve day for the final remain undisclosed by the ICC, speculation points towards June 30 as a likely option.

January marked the announcement of the T20 World Cup 2024 schedule, wherein the ICC unveiled plans for matches across three venues in the USA and six in the Caribbean. Among the highlights is the much-anticipated India versus Pakistan encounter, scheduled for June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island.

The ICC's statement elaborated on the distribution of matches, highlighting that ten out of the 20 participating teams will kickstart their journey in the USA. Lauderhill, Dallas, and New York are set to host 16 matches, while the India-Pakistan clash is slated for Long Island. Additionally, 41 matches are scheduled across six Caribbean islands, with semi-finals designated for Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana, and the grand finale to unfold in Barbados on June 29.

In essence, the T20 World Cup 2024 promises an electrifying spectacle across diverse venues, with the inclusion of reserve days reflecting the ICC's commitment to ensuring a seamless and thrilling tournament experience.
