The opposition in Maharashtra has finalized its Lok Sabha deal, allocating 21 seats to Uddhav Thackeray's Sena and 10 seats to Sharad Pawar's party.

Sanjay Raut from Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena faction recently revealed their strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra. They have decided to contest on 21 seats, while the Congress will compete on 17 seats and Sharad Pawar’s party on 10 seats. Raut outlined the specific constituencies each party will target, including prominent ones like Jalgaon, Parbhani, Nashik, Palghar, and Mumbai constituencies among others.

The division of seats follows intense negotiations, especially concerning seats like Sangli and Hatkanangle, which had been contested over due to their historical significance or recent victories. Congress eventually conceded Sangli and Hatkanangle to Shiv Sena (UBT) despite initial reluctance, recognizing the strategic importance of certain constituencies.

One particularly noteworthy contest is in Baramati, where a family feud within the Pawar family adds an extra layer of intrigue. Sunetra Pawar, wife of Ajit Pawar, is challenging Supriya Sule, daughter of Sharad Pawar, highlighting the political dynamics within the NCP.

The upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra promise to be a significant political battleground, with parties vying for key seats and navigating complex alliances and rivalries.
