The political scenario in Mumbai North Central for the upcoming Maharashtra elections remains uncertain as no candidates have been announced yet.

BJP’s sitting MP Poonam Mahajan awaits her fate as speculations are rife that party is likely to pick a new candidate for the seat.

Mumbai North Central remains the sole seat in Maharashtra where neither the ruling party nor the opposition has announced their candidate. Speculations suggest that BJP's current MP Poonam Mahajan may not be the candidate this time, while Congress is still finalizing their choice.

The Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, hurried to Nagpur due to unseasonal rains to inspect the venue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally in support of the Shiv Sena candidate in Ramtek constituency. Shinde's visit aimed to ensure that everything was ready for the public rally scheduled for Wednesday.

Kirtikumar Shinde, previously unknown as MNS General Secretary, gained attention after resigning. He disagreed with MNS Chief Raj Thackeray's decision to unconditionally support PM Narendra Modi in the upcoming election. Shinde, who worked behind the scenes researching party issues, questioned leaders' ability to change their stance while leaving followers uncertain.
