Turkish doctor who gained viral fame for dramatic face surgeries accused of using fake photos, lawsuit filed against him

A Turkish plastic surgeon recently went viral for claiming he performed a dramatic surgery on an American tourist named "Michael," showcasing before and after photos that supposedly illustrated a transformation making him look a decade younger. The doctor detailed that the procedures included a facelift, neck lift, lower and upper eyelid blepharoplasty, buccal fat removal, rhinoplasty, and hair transplant, emphasizing a holistic approach to aesthetics. However, it was later revealed that no such surgery had occurred.

The man in the photos was not an American tourist but a Turkish individual named Engin Demir. Demir, who had only undergone a nose surgery four years ago, was stunned when he saw his pictures circulating on social media with false claims of a complete facial transformation. The viral post led to confusion among his acquaintances, including colleagues abroad, who inquired about the supposed surgeries.

Feeling compelled to act, Demir has filed a criminal case against the aesthetic company for the misleading use of his photos and the significant personal and professional harm caused. He stated, "I am not the person in this news, I did not have a face transplant," and expressed his distress over the violation of his rights.
